A patch of crocus in a tulip field, a smack of hyacinth in a sea of red and yellow: that's where you can catch them easiest.
Faeries like to dress up perfectly like flowers, but, if J. M. Barrie is right, they despise tulips. While the faeries put off putting on their tulip clothes, they stand out in their hyacinth and crocus attire.
Now, of course, it's chrysanthemum time, and dahlias bloom; you may catch a faerie or three in the odd email, though (if they're not all dressed up as the crocus that contain saffron):
