With such words, Wilhelm Feldmann from Cologne and Dr. Stoessel from Dresden applied for a permit to build an aerial tramway in Grindelwald, Switzerland. Their ad was successful, and from 1908 to 1914, so was the first aerial ropeway to regularly transport people up a hill.
