Darwin's Questionnaire and How to Insert Graphical Smileys in Your Gmail Messages

Monday September 21, 2009
Charles Darwin sent out questionnaires. 36 people responded.
From the answers to questions such as "When in good spirits do the eyes sparkle?" and "Is disgust shown by the lower lip being turned down?", from countless photos and from first-hand observation, Darwin concluded that human facial expressions are universal and not a matter of culture.
For pictorial evidence, The Expression of the Emotions in Man and Animals was one of the first books to include photographs when it was first published in 1872.
For pictorial evidence of the emotions you feel or want to elicit in your emails today, you can include stylized emotions in Gmail today, too:
›› Color your emotions in Gmail and insert graphical smileys (some of them animated even) in your emails.
