Gmail (Google Mail) - Better Vacations, Easier Travel to Labels, and More Rainbows Too

Thursday September 18, 2008
Gmail (Google Mail) - Free Email and Chat Service
New phials have been found in Google's labs. With a green flask in your Gmail, you can now
- add your own color combinations for labels,
- have Gmail turn your vacation auto-responder on and off on pre-set dates,
- make "Reply All" the norm,
- go to labels with a handy keyboard shortcut,
- move the labels or the chat box (or both) to the right,
- be reminded to attach files,
- add a Mark as read button to message lists and
- have only highlighted text included in your replies (instead of the entire email with the quoted part Gmail so graciously hides), for example.
›› Gmail is the Google approach to email and chat. Practically unlimited free online storage allows you to collect all your messages, and Gmail's simple but very smart interface lets you find them precisely and see them in context without effort.
