All right: Open Notepad. Make sure Arial Unicode is the font selected under Format | Font.... Hold down the Alt key. Press the numeric keypad's + sign. (Keep holding Alt down!) Type "2603".
Do you see a + or numbers or nothing? Well, it didn't work. You might have to set a Windows registry value. Spare yourself the effort, though, and look up U+2603 in your operating system's character map, character palette or gucharmap. The Unicode snowman ☃ stands, of course, for snowy weather. Yipee:
