How to Change Your AIM Mail Password

Sunday October 22, 2006
"You cannot step into the same river twice," Heraclitus famously said as handed down by Plato and Aristotle. Heraclitus himself may have held slightly different and more coherent beliefs. More interesting for the purpose of this introduction is what Aristotle says about Cratylus, a disciple of Heraclitus, though.
Cratylus pronounced that, since everything is constantly in flux, you cannot step into the same river even once. Consequently, words, attempts to fix that which never ceases to change, cannot describe reality at all. In his later years, Cratylus stopped talking and resorted to only "wagging his finger".
Now, quick, can you or can you not change your AIM Mail password?
›› Do you think AOL forgot to include into AIM Mail a way to change your password? You may be right; but you can change your password nonetheless — easily.

I’ve been using Netscape.net for my e-mail for a number of years and when it recently went to AIM Mail I tired to change my password but was unable to find any way to do this. You web page, “How to Change Your AIM Mail Password” indicates how to do this, but step 2? “Make sure the Manage Your Account category is open?” Where is this?

Hi Ken,

if you log in to your screen name, you should already be there. Do you see “Manage Your Account” (followed by “AOL A-Z Directory” and “Privacy Policy”) in the left column?

Hi,

Nope, don’t see anything that says manage your account. I’ve included my log in screen and my e-mail screen.
