GROSX (Google Reader for Mac OS X) 0.1.4 - Announces New Headlines Artistically

Tuesday July 25, 2006
GROSX (Google Reader for Mac OS X)The lovely word floccinaucinihilipilification (made by sticking together four Latin words that all mean "of little value" and once happened to appear, flocked together, in a grammar book) is a joking exception to the rule that speakers favor shorter words over long concatenations.
Shorter need not mean easier to pronounce, though. GROSX is reasonably short a word, but try to say is! (If your mouth feels a bit like it did when you visited the dentist as a child, this is purely coincidental.)
Fortunately, you need not say GROSX to use the tool. All it takes is downloading and installing it:
›› GROSX (Google Reader for Mac OS X) integrates Google Reader with Mac OS X by making it the default feed reader, announcing new items through Growl, and by providing easy access and preview from the menu bar. (Mac)
