
On Mondays,
Brussels is closed. There is just one curious building that opens its doors to a freezing city: le Palais Mondial with its
Autoworld. One of the great cars you can admire in the huge hall is the 1956 Cadillac used by Eisenhower and then Kennedy during his
visit to Berlin in June 1963. Now, Cadillac is the automobile company founded by
Henry Martyn Leland, who also built the first car using an
electric starter. Leland's birthday is February 16, 1843, 162 years ago today. Celebrate his or your or anybody else's birthday with a big smile and a big cake:
