Mail Box DispatcherOne of the most appallingly disturbing things happening today is the mis-coordinated use of antibiotics that has helped create all these dangerous drug-resistant strains of bacteria. In a promising development, Paul Hergenrother, assistant professor of chemistry at University of Illinois has found a way to use apramycin, an interesting antibiotic itself, to make the bacteria eject the DNA that makes them resistant to drugs.
While spam is, fortunately, not as frightening as superbugs, here's a way to eject it from your email account before downloading it to your main email client.
Mail Box Dispatcher is a handy tool that spots spam in POP accounts precisely and lets you get rid of it before you even download the unwanted messages in your main email program. (Windows)
